I do not understand why so many people are saying this "project" is going to kill the Wii's fanbase. Then again, a Star Trek game for this system would be pretty cool. Sitting in your chair giving the orders as the virtual crewmen take them. Perhaps this could kill the Wii.

I don't see a point in this thing at all. I like using my controller. Then again I like this Star Trek idea you speak of. *pictures self sitting in living room* Me: Fire forward Phazers, target weapon system.
Virtual Scotty: We can't do it captain, we'll burn out the main systems.
Me: Damnit Scotty gemme all you can!
Virtual McCoy: Hes dead Jim

Hmm... I have actually never knew about this before. I personally don't like the Wii very much. 360's are the best consoles out right now.

The PS3 is the only console that can rival the 360.

If Microsoft can keep it as lag free as the demos have been so far on various games, it'll push 3D sensing in the gaming industry (and others) a lot further than we currently are with things like the Eye Toy and the Wii's motion sensing.
Now, I doubt this can kill the Wii as Nintendo is working on an addon to the Wiimote that allows a lot more precession in its sensing.
As for my reactions to it, I'm all for it. Whatever can push gaming past the whole, "Oh my god, it looks so pretty!" and back into when games all looked the same and it was gameplay that mattered.

I read somewhere that Microsoft isn't getting rid of the Controller, games in the future will be developed for both Controllers and the Natal camera.
I was relieved when I heard this, because shooters using Natal wouldn't be very fun. =|
Natal itself is just a gimmick really. MS is buying into the whole motion-sensing craze that Nintendo has benefited from. It'll die down eventually though, and I can't wait for it to happen. Maybe then everyone will get back to focusing on real games.

As the new guy I don't mean any offense by this but it's pretty silly for so many people to think so. Oh and you don't have to buy it. How come all of the motion sensing hate is targeted at the 360? What about the PS3 wand? It's basically a Wiimote for the PS3! It's like people completely ignore all of the stuff that Sony does because they're holier than thou or something.
